2017 / 2018 HFC GAS PRICE INCREASE

2020 UPDATE :

Prices have temporarily dropped. However, a new increase is expected during spring and summer 2020 due to the Coronavirus (slowdown in production in China) and due to the further cut in quotas expected at the end of the year.

During 2017 (and also in 2018) a strong HFC gas price increase has occurred.

This is due to the GWP quotas reduction process designed by  the European Community  :  a lower product availability on the market inevitably entails increase in prices, especially during summer.

High GWP gas are the most affected, including R404a, R407c, R410a, R422 and R134a.

Our company is trying to keep prices aligned with the market as well as maintaining standard product availability. Howewer , in this scenario, our ability to provide large quantities is reduced, especially in the summer.

Where possible, we strongly recommend to replace high GWP gas with cheaper ones as soon as possible.
